COURSE OVERVIEW

This course enables the learner to demonstrate, in a practical way, their knowledge of electric/hybrid vehicles technology and repair procedures. It has been designed to give the learners the knowledge and skills required to work safely on Electric/Hybrid vehicles whilst carrying out diagnostic, testing and repair activities. This may include vehicles that may have or had damage to their high energy/electrical system.


This training course contains two mandatory units EV2.2 and EV3. EV2.2 covers all of the skills and knowledge from IMI Level 2 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicles Routine Maintenance.

Electric Vehicle Level 3 covers skills in:

  • working safely on an electric/hybrid vehicle

  • using information to carry out the task

  • carrying out repairs on high energy electrical systems

  • recording information and making suitable recommendations


Upon completion of this qualification, learners will gain substantial core knowledge and skills, enabling them to effectively remove and replace high voltage components in Electric/Hybrid vehicles.


WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?

This course is appropriate for individuals engaged in diagnosing and fixing Electric/Hybrid vehicles, such as service and repair technicians, diagnostic technicians, and auto electricians.


WHAT EXISITING KNOWLEDGE IS NEEDED?

No previous qualifications are required but being a qualified vehicle technician with experience is advantageous.
